Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Wild God

"I hope the album has the same effect on listeners as it did on me," says Cave. "It comes out of the speakers, and I'm swept away by it. It's a complicated album, but it's also deeply and joyfully infectious. When we make a record, there's never a master plan. Rather, the records reflect the emotional state of the writers and musicians who made them. Listening to this, it seems as if we're happy."

Across the ten tracks, the band dances between convention and experimentation, taking detours and detours that enhance the rich imagery and emotion in Cave's soul-stirring narratives. It's the sound of a group emboldened by reunion and taking flight. There are moments that fondly recall the Bad Seeds' past, but they are fleeting and serve only to underscore the band's relentless and restless forward momentum.

Produced by Cave and Warren Ellis and mixed by David Fridmann, Cave began writing the album on New Year's Day 2023. During sessions at Miraval in Provence and Soundtree in London, the Bad Seeds added their unique alchemy, with additional appearances from Colin Greenwood (bass) and Luis Almau (nylon-string guitar, acoustic guitar).
